What do you wish to begin?

Goodness, Jamie, I could create a very long list answering this question! 

I wrote last Wednesday about my dream of opening a cafe/creative space for my community.  This dream feels so right, it just has to come true!!  To get the ball rolling, I will begin to draft a business plan.  We can’t start off all willy-nilly now, can we?  I will write down every idea that comes to my head related to this dream and will make lists of tasks and possible contacts.  If you have any ideas for me regarding starting a business, I’d love to hear them!

I have begun something else I’m quite excited about and can see positive results already.  I’ve started a Story Circle group with five of my co-workers and we meet once a week during our lunch hour.  I believe I’ve posted about it once or twice now and plan to write updates at least once a month.  We’re a new group and still trying to find our groove but I feel good about where I think we’re headed.

One wish that’s been sitting on the backburner for a while now, is to try Chinese brush painting.  I love the simple beauty of each line and curve in this art and would love to master the techniques used to achieve them.  It’s also fun to read up on its history and immerse yourself in another culture.  Look for an article or two on this in the future as I try my hand at this ancient art.

Where do you wish to send some love?

What an excellent question, Jamie!  A question that gives us the opportunity to share our wishes with others.

My first thought after reading it was of my son.  He’s spending the week with family up near the Boundary Waters and I miss him.  I’m so happy he’s able to spend time with my sister, brother-in-law and his cousins up in an area he loves so much; and we truly needed a little time apart to break a negative behavioral pattern we found ourselves in.  I send my love to our son and our family and pray they all find the peace that has been missing from their spirits of late.

My second thought was of my parents.  Both have moved on to the next life but I pray they are able to feel the love I have for them.  They also had difficulty finding peace and I pray they now have it.

I’d also like to send love to individuals and families living with Autism spectrum disorders and other similar challenges.  I pray you too find peace, strength and a few moments, now and again, of the quiet time and nourishment so vital to living with these challenges successfully.

One more love wish at this time:  I send love to all of those who feel lonely, trapped or defeated; who wish for something more.  May you feel His love envelop you, building you up, giving you the fortitude to hold on.
