library meezWhen considering a name for this blog, I tried to think of what would encapsulate a blog filled with my thoughts on a variety of subjects.  “Soliloquies” fit the bill, and why not add part of my pen name, Pamela Sweet, to give it some flow?

If you visit this blog often enough, you’ll find that I get bored easily and will change the template or theme quite often.  Perhaps this reflects my general nature, going from one thing to the next…be it book genre, residence, or other current obsession…never content to settle in one place.  With friends, family, pets, and other living beings, I’m completely different:  loyal to a fault, never bored, always curious, and forever entertained.

My husband and I both have a healthy book addiction and I’m not sure if that’s good or bad.  We’ve got at least one or two bookshelves in almost every room.  If we had more space in the dining room and kitchen, I’d stash books there, too!  Our day jobs and busy schedules make it difficult to read as much as we’d like but we do what we can.

I started writing again last year after a long hiatus, during which I partied like a rockstar, became a single mom to a wildly imaginative son (now 18!), worked like a madwoman, met an incredible man, and got married to said incredible man.

Fear and my battle with perfection have held me back from writing for far too long. It’s my time to conquer those destructive thought patterns and emotions, and turn my dream into reality.

To that end, I’ve created a few blogs to get me writing most days and am now submitting short works of fiction for publication.  I most enjoy reading and writing mainstream fiction, paranormal, romance, erotic romance, urban fantasy, gothic, inspirational, memoir, poetry and flash fiction.

I also appreciate art and enjoy drawing, painting, mixed media, graphic arts and more.  My dreams include owning and managing an independent bookstore, writing brilliant poetry and short stories, founding and managing an after-school gathering place for autistic teenagers, and being the best wife, mother, sister and friend I can be.
