If you’ve not yet heard about Jamie Ridler’s The Next Chapter: The Happy Book Mail-Around, I’m so glad you’re here. If you have heard, you’ll know what all the excitement is about!
The Next Chapter is Jamie Ridler’s (of Jamie Ridler Studios) book club, whose participants read a chosen book and blog or comment their thoughts on each chapter. This go-around is a bit different. The chosen book is The Happy Book – A Journal to Celebrate What Makes You Happy by authors Rachel Kempster and Meg Leder. Instead of everyone reading their own book and commenting, the book will makes its way around the world as each participant adds writing, trinkets and more that make them happy. (So many people wanted to participate, there are actually four books traveling the globe spreading happiness!) We will then meet up on Fridays to share our thoughts. Unfortunately, it is too late to join the mail-around, HOWEVER, you can still join us every Friday to share what makes you happy and check on the progress of the book.
WEEK 1
I’m happy to say I’m part of the Giggle Circle of participants and can’t wait to see what makes them happy!
This past week, my family has been ill with the stomach flu. This bug has been particularly fierce and I am VERY HAPPY that we are all on the mend. Not 100% yet, but getting there. I’ve also been dealing with additional pain that we’ve been running through some tests for that will hopefully get to the root of it soon. Do you know that feeling when you’ve been sick and in pain and you suddenly realize how much better you feel and it feels like you could climb mountains or run the marathon? Everything looks better, smells better and tastes better. It’s like the air is plump full of sweetness. I love that feeling and it makes me happy. I’ve had glimpses of it lately and I look forward to a full onslaught of health happiness…for my family, myself, and you!
