Also known as: Wolf Moon, Chaste Moon
Our lovely leader, Jamie Ridler (who we lift up and hold dear in our hearts, especially at this time), instructs us to think about our heart’s desires while creating our full moon dreamboards. What do we long for and for what do we dare to dream? Jamie’s Wednesday Wishcasting question is “What is your winter wish?” Here is mine:
1. Protection, a sculpture, 2. minestrone soup for the soul, 3. Dreamcatcher 2, 4. Day 59/365: Here comes the sun, 5. I see stars, 6. Autumn Rest, 7. Some times the story changes without us turning the page, 8. A little goes a long way, 9. Atmosphere*
Over the past few weeks, I’ve found myself having the expected thoughts that come around this time every year; thoughts of hibernation, warmth, comfort, and family. I dream about weekends spent playing games and watching movies with my family, baking and making homemade soup, wrapping myself in comfy, warm sweaters and indulging in my latest hobby, knitting.
Since battling a particularly vicious streak of anxiety the past few months, I’m also seeking the way to peace. As a dreamcatcher is supposed to protect us from nightmares, I need a filter to protect me from self-induced worry and negative self-talk. Rest, movement and doing those things that bring joy are certainly required, but what exactly brings me, you, joy?
You’ll find a few of my joy-inducing choices in my dreamboard, but I’m curious to know what brings you joy. Will you share a few of your choices with me and others reading this blog? Maybe we’ll discover something new together!
More dreamboards.
More wishes.

What a beautiful dreamboard. My wish is that all of your dreams come true. My dream is for more lightness and joy in my life. After completing the Joy Diet with Jamie’s group, I am definitely looking for and finding more joy in my life.

I’m drawn by your dreamcatcher image and identify with the negative self talk you mention. Joy often comes for me in being right in the moment and I’m seeking more chances for that this coming month.

As Pamela wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.
As a fellow yarn lover, I find joy in a small basket of very special yarns that I can play with when I need to feel pampered (I’ve got a ball of locally raised baby alpaca, a ball of cashmere, some silk, and a couple of really really soft stuff that have lost their ball bands and came from a yard sale). It feels really wonderful to put my hands in the basket and pull out a ball of luxurious yarn in a beautiful color and texture. It’s sort of a little joy break when I need it.

What beautiful images you’ve chosen for your dreamboard… so rich and enticing… I want to wrap myself up in them as if they’re a cozy blanket!
Equally as beautiful are your sparkling dreams… as you wish for yourself, so do I wish for you as well. Many blessings!

I liked the image of the vintage ornaments in the bowl. I was taken back to the tinsel ladden trees of me youth. Not as artistic as today’s trees, and certainly not themed as many are, but comforting and joyful and full of memories.
What brings me joy is giving myself the time and luxury of looking backward on my past Christmases and what was lovely about them.
As Pamela wishes for herself, so I lovingly and with intention wish for her also. And, I am sending Reiki because you wish to be shed of your anxiety.

Fabulous! I especially love the minestrone soup for the soul, I hear ya on that one for sure. Anxiety is so tough to deal with, I know, I am sure you will find the grounding, peace and joy you are looking for.

As Pamela wishes for herself, so I wish for her too. Anxiety is rough. Fear is excitement without breath is something I’ve found helps me. Breathing is a joy.

Oh beautiful! I love the “Protection” sculpture. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that there is joy in little moments. So I try to remember to be awed by the world around me. Love to watch artists online. Also, sunrises, sunsets, looking for the moon with my daughter. Listening for birds in the trees around the house and then trying to figure out where they’re hiding…
I wish you joy and peace!

How absolutely beautiful. May your season be precisely like this! As Pamela wishes for herself, so I wish for her also. May all of your dreams come true.
And thank you so much, dear you, for your kind words and thoughts. They are very deeply appreciated.
Oh, and what brings me joy? Finishing a project I’m proud of, sparkly clear glass, spending time with my honey, dancing, French toast, coffee from a restaurant called Kalendar’s in Toronto, surpising myself, a good haircut, the beautiful community at Jamie Ridler Studios – and that includes beautiful you

These are beautiful pictures! What a wonderful winter wish!
What brings me joy?
Hot soup on cold days, ice coffee, the birds in my back yard and being near water. I’m hoping to experience all those things, soon!

Handing over something–anything, brings me joy.
I think it’s the simple art of giving.
And I wish only good things for you and yours.
Lovely dreamboard….maybe I oughta consider one….

I really enJOYed number 7 on your dreamboard: “Some times the story changes without us turning the page.” So true, when our perspective, our view on things changes the story changes, too, and takes a different turn, hopefully a turn for the better. I am seeking inner peace this winter as well. I hope the season greets with you joy every day and peace each night.
