Wishcasting Wednesday – 9/23/09

Time flies by moonmomma Wishcasting Wednesday 9/23/09Time Flies by Pat Brennan

Today’s Wishcasting Wednesday question is:

What luxury do you wish for?

My answer came before I was finished reading the question. It seems that I never have enough time. Time to relax, time to create, to time give, time for me to do all of those things I’ve always wanted to do. I’m always afraid to wish for more time, fearful I’ll end up with too much of it.

The more I think about this issue of not enough time, the more I try to look at it from different angles. Maybe there IS enough time, it just needs to be redistributed. How is that going to happen? Working 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 2 hour or more total commute makes it difficult to fit in everything I need and would like to in the few hours remaining before bedtime. But, again, the more I think about it, the fact many others have struggled with this and have found a way to live their dreams gives me hope that I can do the same. It’s time to reevaluate what is important to me and my family and do only those things that are in line with my priorities.

My wish for today is guidance on how to redistribute my time so I can own my responsibilities and have more time for play.

Oh, and a beautiful studio, a new wardrobe, a case of Bailey’s Irish Cream, and a true vacation would also be lovely. ;)

NOTE REGARDING LAST WEEK’S WISHES: I noticed that some of our wishes last week were related to stretching our minds and bodies in the areas of health and fitness. I’ve decided to keep a sister blog, Sweet Determination, wherein I will talk about physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. I’m also going to post what exercise (there’s that dreaded word) or workouts I complete, post a few recipes and any news or events that might be of interest. I’m just not a fitness person, if you will, so this will be a laid back blog; a space to log some things and work out some issues.

If you would like to join me and blog about any health related goals you might have, I’d love to place your link on my site. Just write a quick comment on that blog or send me a note through my Contact Me page here. Wouldn’t it be great if we could create a support network that will encourage each of us to reach our goals and/or maintain a healthy lifestyle?

You can find Sweet Determination by clicking on the Wellness tab near the top of this blog, or go to http://fitness.sweetsoliloquies.com. I do hope you’ll join me!

    Hi Pamela,

Love Time Flies poster. Beautiful. New blog sounds great! very exercise-active.

Time, another prevalent wish today. Years ago work was 9 to 5 and then after the early 2000 recession it became 8 to 5 when no one was looking. I wish for a future of telecommuting or writing from home so you will have more time!

Hi, Pamela. There never seems to be enough time to do all that we need and want to do. But you’re right, many people have made their dreams a reality, and many more continue to do so. As Pamela wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.

I will have to agree with you here. For ages my life was simple and easy to organize. But….of late it seems to have become a zoo. I need to sit and start making a few lists so I don’t miss stuff!! May you find a way to discover several hours a day to you!! Namaste, Sarah

Sweet Determination is a great play on your great name and a Sweet Idea!

Also, I love how you came to realize it’s not about the amount of time, but how we decide to use it that’s the real magic. I love coming to visit you. I take away so very much to consider.

As Sweet Pamela wishes for herself, so I lovingly and with intention wish for her also!

All your wishes sound absolutely fantastic to me! And since you’re obviously a sister soul in this wish with me, may we both find the way! :)

Absolutely, we could ALL use more time!
My own blog post about the luxury of generosity really boiled down to TIME….having enough, taking enough to do loving things for others.

I noticed that lots of this week’s responses were about time. I don’t think anyone ever has enough …
